Thanks for your detailed reply. I currently have two sw20s that are eligible for classic rego, one which is more of a weekend warrior who doesn't get driven much.

I am currently holding out registering it in hopes I can register it as a classic car. End of november I will need a blue slip so hoping to have it sorted by then.

Definately keen to sign up however I would prefer if I could have access to both the classic rego scheme as well as CAMS.

Appreciate your time and effort.

Hi Abs,

We have actually started the process with the RMS to hopefully become part of the Historic & Classic Rego Scheme. So will keep you informed.

Would the $30 annual fee give me access to this option?

Also interested in track days and how the CAMs licences work.

Hi Sussdub,

We are not yet part of the classic/historic rego scheme, but we are looking into it. When we know everything it entails & if we are approved, we will be letting everyone know. We had looked at it a few years ago, but didn't have enough members with cars 30+ to be part of the scheme.

As a club, we don't usually run our own track days, but many of our members do attend track days. Once you have paid your membership & have your number you can apply for a CAMS licence & attend any track days you would like to.

We have our AGM coming up on Sunday evening. It's a Zoom meeting this time, due to COVID. If you are on our email list you would have received an email earlier today. If you didn't receive the email & are interested in attending & finding out a bit more about how the club runs, I can forward it to you.

The annual fee give you access to CAMS, and if we become part of the Classic Rego scheme it will cover that as well.

The committee recognises that members haven't got as much value out of their membership this year as a result of COVID-19, so we will be extending the membership period for a further 12 months at no cost to members. Financial members will still receive a new card to take you to February 2022.

Hey everyone,

It's that time of year again, with club memberships due for renewal for 2020. We would like to thank our existing financial members again for supporting the club and helping to keep us active for another year.

For any of our club email list contacts that are not financial members, this is the perfect time to sign up. The club is entirely run by volunteers. Membership fees help the club cover CAMS "Sporting Car Club" affiliation and insurance as well as website maintenance.
The fees are used by the club entirely for the benefit of the members.
