The frustration will kick in when I start trying to print it out of ABS, but for now I'm enjoying myself haha. I'm using Fusion360, might try to learn blender one day though for some sculpting goodness. How about you?
Re: 3D Printed Gauge Pods SW20 (Kook)

Very cool, I'm currently CAD designing a radio delete so I can mount my gauges/boost controller there.

It's frustrating but good fun isn't it.

What software are you using?
Re: 3D Printed Gauge Pods SW20 (Blade)

Put me down for 1

3D Printed Gauge Pods SW20 (M4X1P00)

Hey Everyone!
Recently bit the bullet and bought myself a 3D printer and in between printing copious amounts of plastic garbage I have been designing an ash tray blanking plate/52mm gauge pod to suit my SW20. The design isn't complete yet but I've made up a few prototypes that I thought might be worth showing.

I managed to get fairly close with the 1st version just from measuring up the ashtray hole, but as you can see from all the markings, it wasn't quite there yet:

Once I had changed the design a few times I managed to get one that slotted in perfectly:

Then I needed to create some clips and a cup to fit the gauge into:

This is everything I've managed so far, but with this build continuing closer to full blown obsession I'll be back soon with more updates.
Hope you all enjoy!
