What do you need done?

Many mechanics just hate the engine position, meaning reaching in ending up in a sore back, or the reputation of “you have to drop the engine to do anything” and the customers never want to pay the bill for it. That’s where you need the mechanics who do the mechanical work you need done.

Its possible mechanics hear mr2 and think of smt zz's, and not even Toyota seems to be able to fix the problems those things had.

I really don't understand what any good mechanic would think is so difficult about working an MR2. Other than the engine being in the middle, they're just as straightforward as a Corolla!

Also, Sandy (mentioned above) is great with MR2's. He's worked on lots of them over the years, including putting the BEAMS engine in mine. I'd happily recommend him to anyone.

Had the same experience with mechanics not wanting to touch them so ^^^^ seems like a good suggestion

If you're on the north-side, try Sandy from The Garage on Gibbes (in Chatswood). He worked on my MR2's for years and knew them well.

Hi All,
Does anyone know a decent Mechanic in Syd.
Ive asked around it seems that nobody wants touch them.
any Thoughts guys.
