For anyone considering going OEM, perhaps something to keep in mind when considering pricing.
When I purchased a new genuine Toyota cable it also came with a new rose joint, as well as a new brass/rubber bush.

MR2 Wreckers Australia for second hand, or MR2 Heavan had them reproduced (both cables $210 USD plus shipping at about $90 USD plus GST import tax - new cables, rose joint, upgraded bushing or take $30 off for stock bushing). OEM is available through Amayama etc for $250 Aussie per cable (two cables) plus shipping.
