But yes they are different to the earlier ones. Slightly different bends and angles I believe.

Sent from my SM-J320ZN using Tapatalk

Re: Gen2 vs gen3 swaybar mounts (Reddtarga)

According to Twos'r'us, the reo plates for later model sdubs may be slightly different to the earlier models, but I don't know what the difference may be.

BTW, for 'do it yourself' people, I have an article with some hints on how to go about making your own.
If anyone wants it, PM me.
Re: Gen2 vs gen3 swaybar mounts (Xmr2)

Thanks for sharing your experiences carmikey, when i did look it up on other forums it seems that most people complaining about the issue had the earlier cars also so i assumed what you were saying pretty much.
Seems like the plates are necessary for peace of mind even for spirited driving on the roads for earlier cars.
I guess with 93± cars if you tracking it regularly it would be an insurance to have the plates as they dont cost much anyway.

Re: Gen2 vs gen3 swaybar mounts (Carmikey)

I would assume the fault was rectified in post 93 models, though no substantive envidence other than my own.
I've had a few of both, never seen a later model with torn mounting points yet. I would like to say the same for the earlier revisions, unfortunately not the case. Saying that, all only fitted with stock factory sway bars.

Sent from my SM-J320ZN using Tapatalk

Gen2 vs gen3 swaybar mounts (Xmr2)

Not sure if this has been already covered but i couldn't find definite answers anyway.
Just wondering if the 92+ models with revised suspention and subframes had the front weak swaybar mounts reinforced by any chance? Or still need reinfcing plates if doing a track day on stock swaybar?
Thanks in advance
