Alarm you want cheap but reliable. Alarms use to be a deturent to theives, now its just part of their knowledge on how to work around.
Get an alarm, and if you have a nice mr2 you value then get a 4g & gsm tracker with geofencing and fuel cut as well as battery back up (around the $200 like moongoose or mictrack or others) and then a sim card of between $5-$10 a month. Tracker works from your mobile device or computer, can remote fuel cut or other ways of cutting the cars mobility, can geofence so if its towed out of the area it notifys you and other features like low vehicle battery allert.

Re: Alarm system (feral4mr2)

used to install cyclops and viper alarms, they were both prity good.
Re: Alarm system (RICHIE)

Thanks i check it out

Re: Alarm system (nick12)

Cyclops is another good brand:
https://mycyclops.com.au/
and the remotes are robust, which is one thing you will notice over time.
Also you can use the remote to power a gate strike as well;
.. or you used to be able to. Perhaps best to ask if that's a feature you want.
Re: Alarm system (RICHIE)

Thank u 😊

Re: Alarm system (Mrskylighter)

I've had good experiences with the higher spec Mongoose Alarms.
