Cheapest option, take to local exhaust shop, have em replace the muffler with a more free flowing one. If your not fussed with plain looking mild steel types, I've had a few done for around the couple hundred mark.
Obviously if high shine polished types mufflers are what you want, add an additional $200 or so.

Hi

I bought a 1997 Bathurst NA MR2 and I want to make it louder :)

I do not know much about this car yet and I am struggling to find an exhaust (probably just muffler) that explicitly says it will fit my model. An suggestions? Links would be great!

my budget is... not great... I expect to have to settle with an ebay part :(
