Drivetrain's strong & Brakes are good, as are the Tyres. It's a bit skittish in the wet, so it could do with some suspension work. I've spun it out on a mountain road, in the wet, & slid it into the road bank, distorting the nosecone, which needs replacing. I've sprayed it black, just for appearances. But it really needs a new nosecone. & some would say that it needs a total respray too, as the paint's 27 years old, & looks it. Though it's also a fine patina, if you like that kind of thing. The interior & seats are also showing their age, but still hold up well, in the shabby-chic kind of style that the whole car embodies.
I'm prepared to leave the rego on it for up to 6 weeks after the sale, so the new Owner has time to bring the car up to RWC standard. As long as they sign a declaration stating that they're legally responsible for the vehicle, & any fines it may attract, from the day of purchase.
This is still a fun ride that just needs a freshen up, & is priced accordingly.
I'd like $2800 for it, but I'm open to reasonable offers. Though I'm not giving it away. It owes me too much for that. But it's definitely worth a look ;)
Don't know how to load pics here, but there's lots on both Carsguide & Carsales
Gary
Ravenshoe
Nth Qld
