SW20 Charcoal Canister replacement (Col)

The OEM Charcoal Canister has been out of production for many years.

So would anyone know of a suitable aftermarket replacement for a Charcoal Canister on a 1990 SW20 Turbo? I would like to maintain the Charcoal Canister (rather than remove it entirely).

Also the manual says that the "out" tube should go to a BVSV, however mine goes direct to the intake. Anyone have some comments on the BVSV? What does it do and is it important?
