Thanks Eric, the one I had 20 years ago was in NZ when I was working over there and that was a Jap Import auto with targa top so thanks for clarifying

From memory, there was no turbo autos. All of the Autos will be imports, and they will most likely be G-Limited (the Japanese spec)

I have seen a few come up however they are mostly hard tops, I have only ever seen one Auto T top. Best of luck with your search!

Bathurst and turbo models only came in manual, auto is less common but good luck in your search!

Hi, 20 years ago I owned a MR2 but had to sell it when my daughter was born (made family of 3). So now I would like to buy my 19yo daughter one as her first car. It must be Auto and have a targa top, prefer Red but most important is that it is a very nice car in good condition for her...a car that you wouldn't mind your 19yo daughter driving. Not sure about a turbo but yes if a P plater can drive one in Melbourne. What are the Bathurst ones...I want a special one for her that also looks good...she loves the MR2 look.

I can travel anywhere in Australia for the right one and have cash ready...have you got one you would like to part with to a very nice girl owner
