As sx_corolla said, check out the abflug over arches. They will achieve the look your after, but in a more sensible width. Mobi's old blue mo ster had a set fitted

I like the widebody flares and deep dish wheels. I don't like the excessive camber though!

I plan on doing it without the camber should be interesting

I wouldn't call that a widebody, just a set of flares on that one. There's a lot more cost and work involved in a widebody.

I don't mind that big flared look, but the Torana SLR5000 was the mean machine back when I was a kid.

I will admit they are beautiful cars

I'm not into stance all that much myself I don't want to go crash low and stupid camber I just like the look of this wide body over the trd one and they look about the same width

I realise this is the latest trend (that will die pretty soon lets be honest) but it's just rubbish tbh...

PLUS you would be faster in a stock body car than that monstrosity.

It is possible but the huge offset required will severely restrict turning circle and will cause the car to follow grooves in the road making it unstable. Rain will also be an issue.

No problem running those flares but you will need to install a different suspension geometry so you do not have the problems as mentioned. Severe scrub angles and excessively lowered MR2's damage the bearings, increase the weight of the steering, effect handling in a negative way. A A link type suspension is the best way to manage it. You can then push the hub out another 50-100mm, improve the roll centres, lower the scrub angles. This has not been done by anyone as yet but its not impossible but will cost about 5000 to design and fit such a system. You will then need longer axles but that too is not a big deal.
At a guess, this particular car is running airbag suspension as its would not be possible to run a car that low everyday on coilovers without a bunch of problems.

OP says feel free to discuss - personally I think that photo was taken in a car park with the driver doing about 5kph - anything more with a corner involved could see wheels rolling away from the car. Hard parking evolved to hard trying to park. (but i'm just an OCD nerd who likes OEM…)
