BEAMS engines were never available in any SW20 in Australia, only in Japan. All OZ-spec Rev 4 & 5 SW20's (1996-1999) were fitted with the non-VVTi 3SGE.

Awesome, will send through to race series. Just to confirm though, do you know if the bathurst N/a was available for sale without a beams engine? my understanding is the bathurst n/a was available from 1996 and the beams engine only came out mid 1997?

I can't provide you with a chassis plate as confirmation, but here's the brochures for the OZ-spec SW20 Bathurst and GT and it clearly states that the GT is fitted with an LSD as standard and that it's an option on the Bathurst.

Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone here has a non-turbo non-beams engine sw20 mr2 that was fitted with factory lsd gearbox?
I believe that only 1996-early 1997 mr2s may have this option.
If you do, i would really appreciate a picture of your chassis plate as confirmation. (located in frunk)

We run a Toyota sw20 Mr2 in a race series in New Zealand and are looking for the above information to confirm our car is in compliance with the rules.
Am happy to paypal over some beer money to the first person to provide the above information.
