Problem solved , sourced a replacement lower dizzy and fitted it ....BAM , engine running sweetly.

Just to help people help you, what year is your car? Do you know if it is gen 2 or gen 3, and is it n/a or turbo. Im assuming you referring to an sw20?

The aw11 and sw20 have magnetic cam and crank sensors in the distributor. Common issues are incorrect sensor gaps, or damage to shaft bearing issues or oil. Im bot sure that you can source the sensors brand new, you might have to switch them out of another dizzy, all easier still, change the whole dizzy.

Need to replace cam angle sensor.
Where do I get one ....Toyota?
Should I replace the entire dizzy?
Will a Camry dizzy go in and just need some wiring interchange done?Please help!!!
Also does anyone have one for sale in Queensland/Brisbane area?
