(MR Two)

I have just bought a 1996 sold 1995 built white Bathurst MR2 with 201,000 K's .
No power steering but does have air con and ABS .
Its bog stock and pretty straight for a 19 year old car , it presents as a very honest vehicle .
The wiring has not been messed with other than an immobilizer and that has been removed and everything re-hooked up as it should be .
The problem I have is the fuel pump does not run , it runs just fine when you lift the engine fuse box cover and provide power to the Blue/Black wire so the problem is not the pump itself .
Have checked and replaced open earth relay , starter relay and the relays in the fuse box itself .
As far as I'm aware being the later model there is no specific fuel pump relay ?
I have also replaced two leaky caps in the ECU....why is it always the brown type capacitors that leak and seldom the black ones ??
Anyhow having checked plug pins are not bent on the ECU , checked that loom plus are connecting properly and having replaced all relays starting to suspect the ECU as there is not anything left !!
Can anybody help with a 94 or later ECU that I could use to check ?
