The bluepoint jacks are about $550, not $800. I have the model fredhoon posted up, as well as the 1.5ton model, which has slightly less reach. But they are serviceable, and you can buy individual replacement parts, so you dont keep throwing jacks out every few years. I have had my 1.5 ton super low blue point for nearly 8 years now.

Bluepoint will put you back in the region of $800. This could be worth investigating on gumtree but freight could be a killer

I believe it was Snapon or Bluepoint?

I have had my Arcan from Costco in Sydney (was $160) for 4 years with no issues. Aluminium and 22 kgs.

Agree with PETE. I don't personally own one of these jacks from Cosco, but a few mates of mine have em & they seem great for their price.
I've considered one myself a few times now & from memory their only $178 at Cosco... + warranty on item is as long as you maintain your membership.

I got an Arcan aluminium one. Very happy with it! I think they sell them at costco. I got it off a ebay seller who I think acquired them from costco originally. Paid around the $200 mark for it and haven't seen then around as cheap anymore.

Rated to 1.5tonne on the packaging but apparently it will take double that.

It didn't look cheap but was incredibly slim, had great reach + height, smooth sliding poly wheels and effortless to pump. It would be worth it at double the price of Supercheap or eBay.

I just got home and got you some more info about my jack.

Part number: JG2000LP
Max load: 2000kg
Lowered height of pad: 100mm (not as low as I thought, but still quite low)
Maximum raised height: 531mm
Weight: 43kg (yep, very heavy)
Height of jack body at pump end: 165mm

Knightrous, that one looks the goods. I like that it lifts fairly high, because I'm about to buy a 4wd myself.

I bought a 3 tonne jack from eBay seller SuzukiSuper about 2 years ago and highly recommend it for the price. It has a 75mm to 505mm lift range and is made of a beefy steel construction (Its not a toy, it weighs 34kg). It's nice and stable even when lifting up my 4WD (2200KG Maverick) and car trailer. It's not as fancy as a double pumper alloy unit, but it's a work horse :)

I think I'll need to measure the muffler height and go have a look at a few in person.

The problem with my current one isn't so much the height, it's that you can't lower the jacking arm if you have the pumping arm down. It's the pumping arm that fouls on the exhaust.

I bought a big trolley jack from Autobarn on sale last year for $200, which was pretty good value. I can't remember the exact model, but I can check tonight if I remember.
It can lift the car very high, but the lifting pad still manages to sit very low when fully lowered. The pump part of the jack could still cause problems for you, but from memory I think the jack body would be no more than 15cm high at that point. Would that be too high to fit under your exhaust?
The jack is made of steel and very sturdy, but therefore very heavy.

G'day all, I need a new trolley jack. My current one fouls on my Legalis R exhaust when trying to reach the rear crossmember.

Does anyone have any recommendations for low profile trolley jacks that are still low enough at the pump end to clear a low exhaust? The car isn't ridiculously low either.
