The Toymods crew put on another great event as usual and it was great to see the MR2 Army out there.

Despite the very early start to get there & meet by 7.30, I had a great day at my first ever Toyotafest. There were some great cars. I think we had 9 or was it 10? MR2's there, with all 3 generations represented. One Adub had been driven up from Victoria, one potential new club member parked up with us as well. I was pleasantly surprised at how many people said my baby looked good, so was happy that I had been talked into displaying her instead of just parking outside. There are many pics around, but here are just 2. The generation shot, just happened without planning. " />

And with the loss of an hour it will feel like 4am leaving home. Is it worth going to bed, lol.

Toyotafest is coming up on Sunday!

If you have entered your MR2 into the event and you want to park with the other MR2s, then remember that the MR2 Club will meet on Packard Avenue (very close to Castle Hill Toyota) at 7:15am, so we can drive into the event together at ~7:30am and park as a group.

DON'T FORGET DAYLIGHT SAVINGS!

NSW MR2 Club attending Toyotafest 2016 at Castle Hill Toyota on 2nd October

Hey everyone,

The annual Toyotafest show-n-shine, hosted by Toymods, is coming up on Sunday the 2nd of October (exactly 1 week after our AGM event).
The MR2 Club of NSW will be attending Toyotafest as a group again.

Sunday, 2nd October 2016 Long Weekend

Castle Hill Toyota have offered the use of their rear dealership car park again for this years event, after the success of last year, this allows the show to be 90% undercover if it rains, so there are no excuses for not attending!

$20 Entry per Vehicle. Spectators/passengers are FREE!!!

Trophy classes and eligibility...

• Historic Original - Best / most original vehicle pre 1985
• Modern Original - Best / most original model vehicle available between 1986-2005
• Best Commercial - Best over all mini truck, ute, van, etc...
• Best Engineered - car best engineered for it’s purpose
• Best Late Model - Best late model vehicle post 2006
• Street Sleeper - Most deceptively high performance car
• Top Engine Bay - Best presented engine bay
• Best Paint & Panel - Best finish and workmanship
• Best Interior - Best finish and workmanship
• Nathan Dean Memorial Trophy - Best Classic Celica 1971-1977
• Entrants Choice - Best overall chosen by other entrants
• Best of Show - Highest overall scoring vehicle

Please note trophy categories are subject to change closer to event date

Entrants are encouraged to arrive from 7.30am with last entrants being accepted into the display at 8.55am for a 9am start. Trophy presentation and raffle will start around 2.30pm. The display will close at 3.00pm with ALL cars remaining until then. In the interest of public safety NO vehicle may be moved or started during the display... NO EXCEPTIONS!
Vehicles being trailered will need to be escorted into the venue for unloading prior to 8am if the vehicle is not mobile.
