(MrPedro)

Cheers for the responses guys.

I'm still waiting on my insurance, but yeah it'd have to be a pretty cheap buy back for me to do anything.

Re: I got rear ended while stationary on Monday... (Ray-MR2)

At the right price it is repairable but will depend on if the body rails are bent as Dudeman has pointed out. I have repaired two SW-20 that were hit from behind something like this, one did have bent rails not too difficult to fix when you have the right equipment. 149,K Miles is reasonable for a twenty year old MR2. (as it is a UK car the Speedo is in miles)
Not enough detailed photos or details to decide if it is a proposition or not.
If you get it at the right price then it may be worth the work. Let us know what you decide on.
Re: I got rear ended while stationary on Monday... (Dudeman)

Very hard to tell what sort of state the car is in as all your pics are close ups.

Anyway, looks like the chassis is bent by that crease at the end of the buttress, not worth the $ to repair that sort of problem and may not drive straight ever again. It's not a turbo, so unless it goes for peanuts I wouldn't buy it personally.

Its a UK import i'm guessing, lots of sunroofs models were sold there.
Re: I got rear ended while stationary on Monday... (Guest)

Unless your getting it for sub $500, I would let the insurance company have it, keep every dollar to get another, v6 or turbo car :)

Re: I got rear ended while stationary on Monday... (Mrskylighter)

If it were me I'd let the insurance company have it and take the money. Buy a different MR2 if you still want to own one.
I got rear ended while stationary on Monday... The car is probably going to be a write off. I'd like to buy it back and repair it but the most sensible thing will probably be to parts it out. The engine still runs fine (3sge), it rolls and steers ok, all the glass is fine, has a stock sunroof (never seen another).

What would MR2 Australia do?

Cheers.
EDIT

ADDED PIC
