(some drips / fluid should be present underneath below the firewall area).
Re: Clutch pedal gone very soft (RICHIE)

Ok i top it up.no leaks from pedal or master cylinder.theres more pressure on pedal.take for drive change gears fine.got back check clutch fluid all gone again.i notice when pressing pedal squeeze noise coming from back bottom of engine? Now that it is cooler it is o.k.
Other forums have said that once fluid has overheated it isn't the same any more. Will have to bleed again.
Amayama have just advised that they can't get me a new heat shield/insulator PN 31461-17010.
Will have to see if I can get a used one or work out how to fix what I have left.
**** job to work on Slave Cylinder, but.
To revert to your difficulty, you also need to consider that the Master & Slave Cylinders may be faulty.

Re: Clutch pedal gone very soft (Carmikey)

RICHIE
Check fluids its looks low should i try refill.the LEFT one is for the brake fluid and RIGHT is for clutch fluid is that correct.which brand of clutch fluid should i get

Brake is Drivers side (Left), & Right side is Clutch (smaller reservoir).
Any decent quality DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid will do. Brand doesn't matter much IMO.
Re: Clutch pedal gone very soft (RICHIE)

Check fluids its looks low should i try refill.the LEFT one is for the brake fluid and RIGHT is for clutch fluid is that correct.which brand of clutch fluid should i get

Re: Clutch pedal gone very soft (Carmikey)

RICHIE
Hi need sum help my mr2 1994 non turbo.my clutch got very soft what does it mean what do i check could sumone give me advice

If it got VERY soft all of a sudden, you could have broken a finger on the pressure plate.. Look at your clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder and clutch lines for leaks.

Clutch pedal gone very soft (RICHIE)

Hi need sum help my mr2 1994 non turbo.my clutch got very soft what does it mean what do i check could sumone give me advice
