I ordered one from eBay, had to superglue the edges etc to the old plastic clips, bit of a mess but looks ok. I then bought a genuine Toyota one, all ready to go. I think the Toyota is far better in the material and the fact it's ready to go. Gen2 mr2 shift boot part number is 58808-17020 you can order it from amayama.com and it's not too badly priced in consideration of the quality.
Disclaimer check the part number is right for your year model.

I think the Toyota ones come complete ready to fit, but with some aftermarket ones you may have to re-glue the leather part to the base/former.
Also I think some may vary where they attach to the bottom of the gear knob

You can still order them brand new from Toyota as well.
