I believe the changeover build date for larger brakes was 11/91.
Front calipers should have 36T30 cast on them, and rear calipers should have 22V .

I'm in the same boat..have a 1992 na sw20..want to change out all the brake disks and pads..so without me measuring I should have the larger setup?

And the next fun factor, install larger brakes or change of calipars... May result in needing new rims and specifically rims that are shaped to clear larger brake calipars...
So unless if your looking for what will bolt on cheap, the real answer is good pads and rotars... Everything else is $$$$s

Pre '11/91 the stock turbo's and NA's use exactly the same brakes (calipers/pads/rotors)

Post '11/91 all SW20's had the larger rotors/calipers,
On these the front pads are different to the pre '11/91 models.
However the rear pads are the same on pre and post '11/91 models, even though the post '11/91 models use larger rear rotors/calipers.

Fitting larger later model brakes to an early model car can cost more than you may think, because apart from the rotors/calipers you will also need the larger diam brake master cyl and the later model booster and separate check valve to work properly.

Sorry, I'm just looking at what I can get to fit standard NA 1990.

This car was planned to be my track car, however using it as my daily for now as I bought a different car for track.

So in reality I'm just asking what's compatible. I already have a sheet of what i'll need if I go 32GTR Brembo's and my boss has custom made adaptor plates for them before on mr2's for old customers, so I'm not having a problem with 'an upgrade'..

I'm just merely asking what pad's and discs will fit a NA 1990 model, what standard sizes fit with what.

Gen 3 Brakes are a common swap and provide some improvement, but for daily driving the standard brakes are up to the task.

A lot of people forget that brakes are only as good as the tires, so putting performance pads and rotors will net you no gain if you have standard Tyres.

I have the delta V kit (R32 Calipers) Fantastic piece of kit, totally changed the cars braking characteristics - But I had to go for some wider front tyres and lower treadwear. Personally, I would like to go lower again (on a set of track rims maybe) as I know that I can get more out of them - just need far better tyres

Breaking down your thread to understand, why you want a brake upgrade - because that answer will guide what you need to upgrade to and the reality of the cost... The not spend too much sounds like your better getting good pads and rotars, because balanced upgrades cost $$$$s and upgraded calipars won't have more control of stopping if you put cheap pads in them.

So do you plan on what style of driving
Race, what kind?
Road?
Or just to feel good that you have a brake upgrade?

Guys have bolted everything from mr2 turbo brakes, Porsche and various aftermarket stuff. However this may result in; Upgrade the booster, hubs, calipars, calipars adapters, rotars, brake lines $$$$ for front and rear.

Front discs are not (1990 - early 92 are 258mm in dia), Late 1992 - 96 turbo are 275mm in diameter.
