I agree. B24 is organising an event at Sydney Motorsport Park which is great, and we have this event, so we already have 2 in a year. Why not 3? I would prefer to do track days with other MR2 enthusiasts as opposed to generic track days. Now that my car seems to be reliable (fingers crossed), I will be able to do more than one event per year! 🤣😂😎😆 🤓

I appreciate the amount of work that goes into a single event but maybe this is an opportunity. Have we outgrown a single event? Is there opportunity to have multiple at different times and locations organised by the local/home entrants? Just a thought...

So essentially, you'd be competing for the MR2 owner's dollar with the 'Nationals' the month prior.

Most people can't cough up enough to do both, especially if travelling from the far states, so it'll become a toss-up.

Not to mention, as Rick said, the end of November is quite literally the worst time for anyone in a public service/retail/etc. job.

I agree that it makes it difficult for people who want to attend Nationals as it makes it difficult both financially and in getting time off in 2 consecutive months. I understand that you'll never get consensus on the best time to have it, and January's heat isn't ideal....

You cant please everyone. For a lot of people, start of January is also the worst as people have forced annual leave and run out.

However, I am for one pleased about the cooler climate.

Those highlighted in YELLOW were DNS or DNF for the session/event and were awarded slowest time +1.

As I work in retail, we have huge amounts of stock arriving in late November, and sales are at their peak in the 3-4 weeks before Christmas. As I need to allow 4 days travel on top of the few days at Wakefield Park, I'd need a full week off at our busiest time of year.... just not possible :(

That's a real bugger mate. Sounds like it's time to put in for a transfer to a store in a town close to Goulburn ;)
