They seem to be content with being charged by a standard car alternator. Surprisingly good durability, even after letting the test mule (Nissan NX) sit parked up for 3 months, it started first go.
Re: Lightweight Battery (Admin)

I will wait until you guys have confirmed it is OK
Re: Lightweight Battery (kameleon)

I am glad you guys have done the research, i will be purchasing one of these myself.
Re: Lightweight Battery (kojab)

stuka
Richard did you call your contact?

Yes I edited my post (4th post down) re my contact. Spoken to him again since and he has been using it for nearly two years on his 5.7L VZ commodore with no problems.

I purchased the LH14-BS after speaking directly to Ashley at this URL
http://www.allpurposebatteries.com.au/information.php?info_id=7

He assured me that the LH14-BS will have no problems being charged with a regular battery charger or Alternator charge.

It is now installed, now 9.2 kg lighter than old battery and so far is starting the engine much quicker. Only time will tell if this will last the four to five years of the original calcium battery.

Re: Lightweight Battery (stuka)

I have been hearing conflicting opinions on these batteries. I spoke to another bloke at SSB that stated the LH14-BS is not suitable for car use. Anybody else had experience with these?
