I notice Bilstein don't have the MR2 listed on their site but there's a few retailers near me I could contact

They are definitely listed on the Bilstein online catalogue. Here are the part numbers you need to look out for:

Front left 22-247261
Front right 22-247278
Rear left 22-266439
Rear right 22-266446

I noticed the latest revision of these shocks have plastic caps where the gland nut normally goes. I suppose this is going to make them easier to rebuild without any cutting.

Got my shocks from MR2-BEN. I would advise you to make an enquiry before ordering as I was made to wait over a month for stock to arrive.

My Eibachs took a couple of weeks for the ride height drop to be noticable.
Ride is definitely a lot firmer than the stock springs, but handling had a great improvement on the track...

I've got an 8" +35 front on teins with no spacer. They fit with about 3mm clearance so I'd say it all depends on the combination of parts you choose but definitely not outta the question.

I notice in the main thread post you've swapped out the old with new Bilstein B6 struts + TRD springs. I know it's only been two days but can you comment on how you like them so far?

I have not had a wheel alignment yet so can't yet say how the car handles in a spirited drive. Initial impressions are a firm ride, and sometimes "bouncy" which reflects the higher spring rate of these Eibach 8215.140 springs. These are definitely stiffer than the factory 93 springs. I have driven a car with BC BR coilovers and would say that these are about half way in between. The Bilsteins kept the car nicely under control when I entered a roundabout right after a level crossing, all within the speed limit of course ;)

I have identical wheel specs (except I run 245/40 rear rather than 255/40) and have been told coilovers won't fit, but it looks like you managed to get these Bilsteins in fine! Any photos of the fitment?

The Bilsteins have exactly the same dimensions as the factory struts. This is in comparison to coilovers which have longer springs that would foul on the wider wheels. You have no hope of coilovers clearing and will need to go to a 7 inch wide wheel, or getting spacers which is going to look silly. Even with the struts you're only looking at a few mm clearance between the wheel and strut housing. There is much more clearance on the rears so you won't have any trouble with either struts or coilovers.

Out with the old

In with the new!

According to the stickers these are tested on the Nordschleife, not sure if it's really true...

While I was in there I also replaced all the soft brake lines with Goodridge SS braided ones. Unfortunately was not able to do the driver's front side as the flare nut on the hard line was done up so tight I ended up rounding it. Anyone know a source of a replacement for the (non-ABS) hard line?

Finally got around to putting in the Recaros as I needed brand new rails to fit the newer style of seat.

Initially had doubts about red seats but they look quite good against black paint / black interior. These ones have the lumbar support air pumps and boy do they make a difference.

Also soon taking delivery of a pristine pair of Recaro SP-JJ "Raptor" seats. Let me know if you want my OEM LX Recaros...

I had a decent number of stone chips, peeling clear coat and a few dings in left passenger side fender and rear quarter.

Couple months ago had a big scrape from a hit and run car park driver. Not the first time this has happened to me :/

The price starts from $2500 for "mask and spray".

Thanks. :). Being armed with prices & info from others is always good, especially when some people tend to try & take advantage of us girls.
I had a scrape from a hit & run parker on the way home from Toyota Nationals at Easter. Thankfully it wasn't as bad as it first looked once I got the polish to it.

The cost was 3k including all prep work and damage repair. Dropped it off on a Friday and drove off on the Saturday afternoon after.

Was there much in the way of damage? ie: stone chips, trolley dings, etc.
Mine desperately needs a respray & I was thinking it would be more than that. I'm not in Victoria, but good to know it can be done for $3k when I am getting a price.
