Will add a 45mm wastage gate and sell of 38mm one. I started all ready striping back the front nose section and it has 2mm of bog all over it. This is going to take a bit of work to do.
Re: My Money Pit - SW20 (92 Hard Top)

Is the spoiler high enough?
Re: My Money Pit - SW20 (92 Hard Top)

Have now installed new rear spoiler and tacho with a shiftlight. I am having some wiring issue. Get this, put the hazard lights on it flashes the ecu as well as the lights, put the parkers on is does not. Use a blinker with parkers on shuts down ecu and blinkers flash faster, turn of parkers lights, all is normal. Also tacho not working, I'm not an auto electrician so it's been a real problem for me. But I will beat it!!!!
Re: My Money Pit - SW20 (92 Hard Top)

I thinking of getting these big brakes: ceikaperformance.com/Small-6-pot-Big-Brake-kit-p29.html
Has any used this brand before?
Re: My Money Pit - SW20 (92 Hard Top)

robk

EssDub

Phiz
Holy ****. how are you even going to keep traction in 1/2/3rd but? Doesn't Rob have probelms even in 3rd with similar power?

It's called learning to drive. ;)

Having different boost levels per gear would certainly help, but I personally enjoy the challenge of trying to handle a bit of wheel spin. It is detrimental to acceleration, but it also happens to be a lot of fun! lol
Having so much torque, which ramps up very quickly when the boost comes on, certainly makes it a challenge when accelerating out of corners at the track. I don't mind though, because more challenging = more fun.
When you pass the apex of a corner, you can't just mash the throttle straight away like you can in lower powered cars. You have to be very careful to ease the throttle on when the engine speed is around 4000+ rpm. If you abruptly press the pedal, the instantaneous torque increase is crazy.

That very true, just accelerating get me warm and fuzzy.
Re: My Money Pit - SW20 (robk)

EssDub

Phiz
Holy ****. how are you even going to keep traction in 1/2/3rd but? Can make a lot more torque, but need to upgrade the waste gate to a bigger one. I will just learn how to get the best times with this setup.

Awesome! Could do higher power if I keep it to 7000rpm. I just wanted an extra 1200 rpm to play with. If I upgrade I get 44mm.
Re: My Money Pit - SW20 (robk)

grosso
I think this is a better tune. It's a balance you will notice I'm running a lower boost levels for the same power round about, want to keep heat down. The push to pass option would only be for 3rd gear and above after the apex if needed, giving me 500nm. Can also lower mid torque if needed via the ecu depends on what track I'm at.
