In my quest for good cheap parts I discovered Bosch have an on-line direct Australian store with a few Mr2 parts available

There is a comprehensive part selector which seems to cover all the mr2 species.
Not many Mr2 parts available here but worth a look for the distributors alone.
Distributors are around $59, timing belt $55, Halogen globes $12, igniters $170
Genuine Bosch leads are too expensive here, (go figure!), I found them half the price at Supercheap online
The part selector is not foolproof, particularly with distributors, you need to check against the toyota OEM parts.
Nothing wrong with some german blood in your japanese car.
