If you are planning to join the VIC ROAD TRIP to the MR2 Nationals 2015. And its not too late to join us!!

Wednesday 3 June. Six MR2s depart for the MR2 Nationals 2015 taking three days (two overnight stops) to arrive at Nationals headquarters mid to late afternoon on Friday 5th June. Lilydale to Cootamundra NSW 542kms

Meeting Place 1: Main Street Lilydale, 8.45am to depart 9.00am traveling via Yea to Euroa "Pit Stop" (144kms).
Meeting Place 2: Euroa 10.45am to depart 11.00am traveling on the M31 via Wangaratta and Albury "Lunch Stop" (165kms) approx. 12.30pm Depart Albury 1.30pm for Cootamundra (236kms) arriving 4.00pm

The route taken will be the shortest direct route from a Google Map directions. Some route will be subject to change if anyone has a better suggestion. And people are free to make their own travel arrangements.

Bring Helmets and clothing if you're booked into the Track Day, UHF Radio, we'll be on Channel 16 and of course a Camera.

Have a look at the pic on post #1 The plan is the shortest direct route from Cootamundra to Tamworth, then same from Tamworth to Brisbane.

I'll be putting out more detailed infomation soon by email to all those who have indicated they will be joining us.

And it's not too late to join the VIC ROAD TRIP just send me an email nationals@mr2club.com.au and I'll include you on the list.

In Tamworth we have reserved 11 rooms in the name of the MR2 Owners Club. They will not appear on “Wotif” or “Trivago”.

For couples or people willing to share - 5 rooms with queen bed and single bed
For three Single people - 1 room with queen bed and 2 single beds.

Don't think about going to the MR2 Nationals 2015 in Brisbane, QLD in June, JUST DO IT!!!! Life is too short not to.
Visit the Nationals post on the QLD section for further information and the MR2 Nationals Program.

If you want to join the VIC Road Trip (we have 9 MR2s already going) to the MR2 Nationals 2015 in Brisbane, QLD then attached is the proposed route, "Draft Plan No 1" for the VIC Road Trip to the Nationals. The plan is to get to the Nationals via the shortest, practical, direct route over three days of driving.

I have broken it up into approx. three equal days and two overnight stops:

Leg 1. Wednesday 3 June. Lilydale, VIC to Cootamundra, NSW 542kms taking approx. 5.5 hours staying at a good motel in Cootamundra we have used before.

Leg 2. Thursday 4 June. Cootamundra, NSW to Tamworth, NSW 604kms taking approx. 7 hours. Accommodation in Tamworth TBA.

Leg 3. Friday 5 June. Tamworth, NSW to arrive at National headquarters 351 Beams road Taigum, Brisbane, QLD 587kms taking approx. 6.75 hours to arrive mid afternoon.

Check this out yourself on Google Maps (see map). It should allow some time to do some sightseeing along the way and of course you are free to "do your own thing"!! This plan is subject to change if you have a better suggestion until the end of April, when we will need to book accommodation at our two overnight stops. I hope by now you have entered and booked your accommodation at the Colonial Village (phone: 07 3865 0000 mention the Internet Rate and the MR2 Club) as it is filling up fast.

The return journey home will be at your leisure as some have indicated they will be staying in Brisbane/QLD a little longer
