(alexv)

I have been looking at installing an oil catch can for a little while and there are a bunch of different opinions online regarding them so it's hard to parse what is true and what isn't (eg: "oil catch can without baffle do absolutely nothing"). I know that I don't want to spend $200 on one and that I don't think I want to go the DYI route either, but why bother buy a $40 ebay one if they really do nothing?

So I was looking at getting a rev 3 factory oil catch can and fitting it to my rev 2 and I was wondering if it's been done before?
If it's good enough for Toyota, it's good enough for me!
I know that the rev 3 oil catch can do have an oil return line that I wouldn't be able to connect back to the oil sump, but I figured I could just as easily add a container at the end of that oil return line and drain it once in a while?

Thoughts? Opinions? What's your setup?
thx
