There is nothing ILLEGAL about these plates, they are registered to car and can be transferred. SA only, and having asking motor registrar about the plates.

Yes. That's nice.

I'm not saying the combination is 'ILLEGAL' but displaying plates that are not issued by the authority i.e. the actual bits of plastic you have there instead of the metal S.A. authority plates could score you a fine and demerit points. Every state has 'personalised' plates, but you just can't go and get your own made up even if you can display that combination.

A.C.T. has some rule where they can use such plates, I don't know of anywhere else having the rule. So yes, the combination is registered to the car, not those bits of plastic displaying them.

Like I say, please correct me if i'm wrong. I know first hand that 'displaying plate not issue by the authority' carries a hefty fine and three demerit points in NSW. Apparently some types like to have plastic plates made to avoid camera detected offences like bus lanes, tolls, or speeding.
Re: FS: Adelaide Number plates: MR2 GT (craig goss)

They are custom plates, we pay a fee each month to have these plates on the car!!! Please correct me if i'm wrong but I think the only state/territory to be able to use non issue is the A.C.T.

If someone buys those and can't present the originals they could be listed as stolen/lost and that combination would be suspended/cancelled.
Re: FS: Adelaide Number plates: MR2 GT (craig goss)

These plates are SA rego'd- any offers?
FS: Adelaide Number plates: MR2 GT (craig goss)

Hi guys,
Location: Adelaide

Im trying to sell the number plates of my MR2.
