I had similar symptoms recently.
Mechanic fitted overhaul kit & bled system. I am still not sure that it is perfect.
Maybe Slave Cylinder rubber is passing as well. Bleeding is apparently something of a challenge.
Re: Clutch issues (Reddtarga)

Apart from the advice already given.
How long since the fluid was changed?
Does it look black in the reservoir? If so it needs changing.

Google up 'hygroscopic'
Re: Clutch issues (Falcon)

Master or slave cylinder leaking internally so may or maynot leak to the outside. Check firewall under clutch master cylinder inside cabin and under slave cylinder if it has lost fluid from reservoir.
Re: Clutch issues (artymr2)

As above. Check fluid level firstly. Sounds like air in the system or a leak.

When bleeding the most effective way is to gently pressurise the reservoir to bleed.

Cheers

Re: Clutch issues (Carmikey)

Leaky slave cylinder? check fluid? clutch pedal adjustment? unfortunately process of elimination!
Clutch issues (DPL)

Hi All
Does anyone have any advice on the cause of the following problem, I drove to work today and the effective point of the clutch slowly deteriorated to the point where I was unable to shift into any gear from neutral at the lights. Pumping the clutch in neutral seemed to restore function. I made it to a car park but haven't had a chance to inspect anything. Any suggestions about what to look for or the possible base cause of the problem is much appreciated.

Damian
