All installed and tighter than ever. Some effort involved but I can now safely park on hills once again. Feels nice.

That pic isn't an MR2, its just a random jack and stand pic. Surely there's places where the stands could sit. I know what you mean, I hate the idea of that section getting crumpled. I'd say put the stands along the cross member and use wheel stops so the car doesn't move and roll off them.

Oh I have a trolley jack, and the stands, I would just think my jack stands would be crushing the point that one is sitting in there and I don't particularly want to bend them.

Cheapish, and perfect for centre jacking.

I very much dislike those jacking points because I think the car will crush the 4 points on the edge, and the two in the middle are not convenient for me.

Thanks to Whitchy for the cables, absolute lifesafer, though now I was wondering if there is anywhere I can find a diagram of different safe jacking points.
The entire thing is covered and not sure if removing some will give me better access to useful area's or not, but currently having trouble as my method of holding up my car gets in the way of me changing the cable.

I am definately still in need.. I'm not sure which one I need.. I'll contact the guy who checked it out so he can tell me, but I know it is visible by taking off the cover underneath the lever.

Yeah I'm pretty cranky about it, having a pretty terrible month that has been killing me financially right before christmas, pull up handbrake to park at work and snap. -_-
