Well this event was better than expected. When we first rocked up it was a sea of commies and fords, i think me and dom were the only jap cars there apart from maybe one or two others.

At first i was nervous, all these v8's and what would the drivers be like.

To my suprise this was the best happy laps i have been too. After about 20min half the cars came off and the track felt empty, was perfect. The drivers there seemed better than the ds sessions, i was worried they would be a bit stupid but they were all really good.

Dom and i agreed we both think these are better than the DS stuff, less cars and no dickheads at all today.

I was quietly ****ting myself when we first rocked up, but turns out was for nothing and had a ball.

So for those that didnt come and were worried, you should checkout the next ones, Dom and i will be for sure

I'm planning on bringing the MR2 along with a mates EVO, even if I don't make it with the car I'll still come as a passenger!

I would say its the same as DS as in open session, so no stages. With saying that i think this group is not as well known as DS or mighty car mods, would say there would be less cars at this one.

I didnt have problems with the amount of cars at the ds ones i went to. After the first 30min a lot of cars come off too.

Not doing the swap after all, but I'm concerned how full the track will be. It's a 90 track session - do you have any idea what the total car count will be or if it's in stages?

That sounds pretty cheap to be honest. I cant tell from the site but doesn't look like you need to have membership at QR as well?

DVS, to be honest I don’t know that. Looking at the ticket sales so far I am going to assume it’s going to be less packed than a downshift session. That’s only me guessing though.

Like Dom has said to me before, good thing about these ones is a lot of the turbo guys end up coming off after 20min or so to cool down and it thins out.

Haven’t been to a Torque Time one before and only Downshift, going to be interested to see if it’s a good alternative to DS with possibly fewer cars on the track.

Well it looks like there is still plenty of tickets, so even if it was a last min thing I think you could still get a ticket.

Just thought I would throw this out there in case anyone else feels like coming along. Pretty much the same setup as the DS laps but done by another group. Same price of $60 for 1.5hrs track time in the morning.

So far me and Dom are going, Chris is thinking about it. Would be good to see some others out there as well. Info below.
