As you can see, there isn't much/any clearance from the strut tower. You know that hand built alloy bodies on classic cars are often hand shaped with ball-end hammers, don't you Rick? I'm not suggesting you just go mad and whack it wildy. It can be done in a "professional" enough manner that you'd never even know it was reshaped (a bit of very gentle heating can help with that too, in the same manner as people do when rolling their guards.) You only have to use a very small amount of force.
