(millsy)

Hey mate, sorry for the slow response, got called interstate for work. I'll try and set aside some time this week to record the noise and whatnot. Thanks so much for the offer!
Re: Can you help me diagnose what's wrong with my SC12? (dennis the menace)

Trust me, replacing the SC12 is NOT an engine out job. My first thought is the clutch plate - but without actually hearing the noise I am not 100% on that. Feel free to PM me, or contact me on Oh Fore Two Ate, Nein Won 6 Nein Fore Nein

(Why do we do that? Trolls are going to guess the number . . .) :-)
Can you help me diagnose what's wrong with my SC12? (millsy)

So was driving my car home and noticed the supercharger was making some extremlely metallic grinding sounds under lightish load. A quick bit of diagnosis (pulling the cable to the supercharger) confirmed that it was the supercharger making the noise.

Now I can't tell if it's the pulley at the front, or the internals which are making the noise. The oil on it is a bit below the low mark, but when I recieved the car originally it was lower than that again and it was not making that noise. Given I only recently filled it, I imagine the seals are probably gone regardless but that's a seperate issue.

Any suggestions for diagnosis? I'd imagine replacing the SC12 is an engine out job hey...
