You're making me consider getting my spare set of stock 15" wheels finished in gloss white. However the maintenance to keep my car looking fresh would most likely drive me mad.
Re: RdS' adub! ..yeah..! It's a 4A-G not 3S-G, sure, but both are known to be very stout! You're fffine... :)

MR2 Nationals I presume? I reckon I should! I live on the NSW South Coast these days, so might well have to drag the MR2 up for a holiday. I'll definitely keep it in mind.

..and the TEQ plates? They're actually on a Supra I daily these days. The UBQ plates were only put in place for authenticity's sake; the AW11 has been on club plates for a couple years now...

LumixGood to see you are still lurking. A little silly when yep, I still have more wheels than I can poke a bloody stick at waiting their turn on the AW11's hubs. I just can't justify the tyres rotting away when I now use the car so little. Even the RE001s on the Type-C's were riskily coming up ten years old..

Re: RdS' adub! ..yeah..! It really doesn't get used much these days, with a good chunk of that last 7,000km being a return trip interstate in 2017. Time just flies...

I DID blow the dust off the AW11's old SSR Type-C's (which haven't been on the car since 2011!) to recreate an old look for the TCCAV "Classic Japan" show last December:

Temporarily de-mudflapped and the 2006-issue UBQ plates to complete the look; something different for those who see the car unchanged every show, and a blast from the past for those who remember it ~2010/2011!

It's a pleasant surprise to see the forum still bumbling along anyway...
Re: RdS' adub! ..yeah..! (RdS)

6months later, but again.. cheers!
Reading back through this makes it seem like I ignore the nice words/comments, but I notice! Maybe it's because I leave so long between replying.. between fresh updates.. whatever. Yep, I'll go with that...

Well.
Anyway.
Here it is.
Sometime right-about-now-ish is 10 years. Ten bloody years of AW11. A full decade with a car I've had since I was 18.
A nothing-number for many.. but for a young (..and that term is becoming less-suitable fast..) car-enthusiast, that's a serious damn commitment. SO many cars I'd have ab-so-bloody-lutely LOVED to own, but struggled to make room for in my life. I always had that 'rotational third spot' luckily, but Little Red has been locked into the number one position. I just love it too much.. so damn attached to it.. the nostalgia.. and STILL (as mentioned SO many times in the past) have no intention to ever move it on..
That ridiculous attachment to this car means I spent an absolute fortune keeping a worn-out car on the road, but so what eh? It was no accident. Unemotional/un-attached car-owners would've WISELY moved it on for a better/younger example long before this point.. but no.. I couldn't.. so the decision (while foolish!) was very clearly made. Stupid, but I've got the same AW11 I've always had, right here. My red, sunroof, Aussie '87.
So ten years, ~120,000 limiter-bashing km, and a current odo of ~420,000km. Daily on-and-off, and always kept despite combined years of license-loss, injury, and defect-related cancelled reg. It always bounced back.
Hopefully in the coming years it can relax a little more again.. ease into even more occasional use.. and I'll be able to stretch it out as-long-as-I-bloody-can before the damn doors fall off...

Leeeeeel Reehhhhhhhh...

Yep?
Done.

Re: RdS' adub! ..yeah..!
