He owns his own workshop and he tends to play with these toys on the side as he is a true car nut. this beast is nuts, the torque comes in really hard and it only keeps traction if you want it to, push it that little bit too hard even at 110kph on the freeway and she lights up.
Re: BMW Z3 - 1UZFE V8 TURBO (Nik_Lee)

I remember seeing that on that northern run, It did sound nice and the owner didn't seem to mind showing it off.
Re: BMW Z3 - 1UZFE V8 TURBO (scz)

That was at the Wollombi pub. The air filter sticks up through the boot floor, as the tubo is mounted at the rear end of the exhaust.
Re: BMW Z3 - 1UZFE V8 TURBO (Dudeman)

A group of us saw this on a northern club run. Odd beast, make this V8 throb as it comes towards you, then a turbo whine as it rapidly disappears. Owner was nice enough to let us have a look.
Re: BMW Z3 - 1UZFE V8 TURBO (MR2_260z)

Holy carp is that a turbo attached at the rear of the car!?!?!

Re: BMW Z3 - 1UZFE V8 TURBO (Treay81)

I'd love to post one, but the guy himself has no idea on price. so far hes only had $17K and he said he wouldn't be too keen on that given the amount of money and engineering in it.

Re: BMW Z3 - 1UZFE V8 TURBO (MR2QIK)

A price may help gather interest.
Re: BMW Z3 - 1UZFE V8 TURBO (Treay81)

pics of the car for sale:

BMW Z3 - 1UZFE V8 TURBO (Treay81)

hey guys,

a mate has his beemer for sale.

basically a Z3 convertible. although the little 2.3L 4 cylinder has been replaced by a 1UZFE. the engine was rebuilt using forties and H beams on stock 6 stud bottom end, balanced.

Runs a turbo that is rear mounted, front mount intercooler, (i have forgotten the make of ECU running it all), has a now injection kit that is tuned to fill any low spots, makes 450RWHP with the NOS switched off. has a dual fuel pump setup in boot, secondary fuel pump activated via boost levels to keep fuel levels safe etc.

Cream leather trim. blue duco, looks awesome, great power to weight, running 19's, this thing is an absolute sleeper, engine apparently has plenty more left in it. but he needs it sold to fund his next project of a 6X6 Nissan patrol wagon.

he is asking for serious offers.

i'll get some pics up, anyone interested can Call Dennis at DDB Mechanical located in Cardiff NSW on 02) 4954 4400

he has ordered a new transmission which is extra heavy duty, the buyer will get that with it and he will nsure it is fitted and setup free of charge.
