I would be interested in inspecting (there you go, you'll get heaps of buyers now! :-), but it would appear its now with you in the NT! Is this the case? Thanx Mate (sorry to hear about the engine failure).
Re: MR2 Hardtop Turbo - lots of new stuff hasn't been driven on new engine yet (Treay81)

Yeah no worries cheers.

chassis is a 1990 wit original engine.
Re: MR2 Hardtop Turbo - lots of new stuff hasn't been driven on new engine yet (Dudeman)

What year is the chassis?

There's a member here, 'mr2twatted' ~ he's been after a hardtop for over twelve months. He's keen for a hardtop as long as it's not too far away. I'm about two hours away on the train, much too far. So, if you are closer to him get in touch!

MR2 Hardtop Turbo - lots of new stuff hasn't been driven on new engine yet (Treay81)

okay, so here is the post advertising the car when I originally purchased it:

http://www.mr2australia.com/mr2play/tm.aspx?m=92379

the car done almost 2,000kms before the bottom end going 'BANG!' despite oil levels being fine at the time.

since the engine has been busted it has been at my Mechanics in Cardiff. he removed the engine, the engine was then given to Pryce Engine builders, they fitted it with Forged JE Pistons, Eagle H Beam rods, Race Spec bearings, I purchased a used crank from a forum member, the crank was linished, balanced (bottom end is fully balanced) and crack tested. a Berk down pipe was fitted to the car to replace the ebay one that was on it.

Head was rebuilt, and it has all been reinstalled in the car, it is now running.

I have not driven it yet, it is still at the workshop. the wheels and Exedy Tuff Clutch were stolen from the car (I am still offering a $3,000 reward for the name and address of the culprits).

The brand new Enkei RPF1 17X8 black rims have just arrived, the mechanic is going to test out a few variations of tyre sizes before settling on a set but the brand of them will be Falken Azenis all round.

The engine has cost me a smudge over $8K.

The car will be detailed again prior to the new owner picking it up.

Price: make me an offer please.

Reason for sale: I don't think me and this car are meant to be!! haha.

(Sorry I don't have any pics of the car but its still in fantastic condition, only difference being it will be fitted with Enkei RPF1 rims now instead of the SSR's, I'll see if I can get some pics sent through from the mechanic to post up).

Aaron - 0407 291 534
