I'm also new to the Forum and didn't realise there were so many Mister2s around Perth, or WTF Auto even existed. Thanks Flyboy for the info as they are Toyota/Mr2 specialists. I need my front wheel alignment done since I replaced both front wheel hubs with rebuilt near new ones, in a hurry before leaving the UK so both wheels have been pointing outwards for sometime. It drives fine but there definately toed outwards but didnt get seen on the roadworthy lol. Will give WTF Auto a call.

I'm doing suspension, bushings and brakes, the springs are lowered by 33mm so ill wait to see what clearance I have after all that and then Ill really start to look for rims but Ill keep yours in mind.

Have you looked at posts by DB8 on this forum. I believe he is in Hong Kong & shows freight & time to ship.

He has lots of wheels.

Possibly the best used spare parts source is right here on the MR2 forum in 'Wanted to buy'
Also try Forum sponsors Gorilla or Road and Track.

But often you'll need to go overseas.
For genuine Toyota stuff, Amayama as already mentioned, and Lithia Toyota Parts in the US, but you will need to find the correct part number from somewhere like Toyodiy Parts.

For other assorted MR2 bits, Google up:
Twos'R'us in the US.
MR2 Ben in the UK
RPM Garage in Hong Kong.

Standard rims are either 14' or 15'. The ones in the picture are 15x6 + 15x7 (And should be running either 195/55/r15/ | 205/50/r15 & 225/50/r15 if my memory serves correct). You'll have a very limited selection of tyre sizes.

17x8 & 17x9 +35 should fit without too many problems from what I've been told and will probably be the most common size. I'm running 17x7.5 +30 & 17x8.5 +40 and have no rubbing at all. (I believe 17x7.5 +40 should also be fine)

Thanks for the photos. standard wheels do look ok, they are 15s aren't they, I'd grab a set of them if I could buy some in perth until I could afford and have decided on what rim and size I'll eventually buy, what size wheels are they DrJ?

I recommend a trip up to Kelmscott to visit WTF Autos.
Tristan is a good guy and you will be pleased to see it's a proper MR2 workshop.
There are various MR2s always in the workshop undergoing restorations,performance upgrades,services and the like.
Well worth a visit and you'll have a good understanding of the MR2 scene here in Perth pretty quick as Tristan posts here at this forum as well.
As an owner of a 94 GT-S Turbo however I would recommend sticking to the original wheel size.

There are a few people on this Forum who recommend WTF in Kelmscott & Tony Flood in Welshpool, (I think).
I have no experience with either.
For parts, I reckon that you have to go overseas, Google Amayama, who have an office in Australia.
There are several advertisers on this Forum who appear good. I have dealt with one of those, (DeltaV), who has some very good bits.
If you look on this Forum for a subject which interests you, you will find links to web sites all over the world, which will help.

Be very careful with regard to Wheels. There is a website you can use that lists how flush wheels are on the MR2 and if there will be any fitment issues.

One thing I've noticed already is that if I had spent more money when i decided to get an Mr2 I would have got a car with a lot of the issues I'm identifying now already sorted, but when we buy a project car I guess that's why you buy it....so you can work on it and enjoy the fruits of your efforts. I'm not a mechanic, just a good laborer, i do a lot of the grunt work and leave the finishing to the experts.
Which brings me to
Who knows and works on Mr2s in Perth?
Is there a parts supplier like Rare Spares is to Holden's and Fords for Mr2s?
Is it safe to buy wheels and tyre packages online, I'm worried about fitment issues and come back if they dont (they appear really good value)?
