Cool, thanks guys for expressing your interest :)

I've decided to have the movie night Saturday the 10th of May. I will provide some things to nibble on, some meat and some non-alcoholic drinks, But I think it would be best to BYO food and drinks. While I don't personally drink alcohol myself I don't discourage others if that is their choice, I do however discourage drunken behavior. I do have a duty of care to the people who attend so this is just a disclaimer. Don't get wasted and do silly things. :) But I'm sure you are all decent folk.

I think a good time to start is 4pm. A good time before the sun sets to socialize and probably get some meat on the barbie at 5:30pm. Now for the choice of movies, Bring one along or choose one I have. I'm thinking of setting the pretense here and watch Fast and Furious 1 as a mini tribute to Paul Walker. For some of you this movie was your entry into the world of modified cars, as it was for me.

As always if you have a suggestion please let me know.

I'd be up for something like that Dan, I've not even had my MR2 a year and I haven't been able to make it to any of the meets since I've got it, so I'm keen. I'm in Kingsley too, so I'm just a hop, skip and a jump away.

If I wasn't working I'd come to that too Dr. J. But I always work Saturdays :(

I'm having a BBQ for my Car Club at my business premises this Saturday from 11am.
It would be great to see other MR2's come along, and give me motivation to finish mine.

Most busy people don't have a lot of friends, and I know that my mates got sick of me talking about my mr2 allllllll llllll lllllll the time, So this will be a good time to socialize and exhaust the mr2 side of us for a while. I might even be a good chance for people to come look the cars if they are interested in purchasing one!

How do you manage the cost, do you just byo or order the food and people pay 5$ or something?
Ideas people!

Cost??? We meet at Macca's one night a month, everyone pays for what they want, if they want something.
We then often go for a quick drive somewhere & get another coffee or ice cream.
We arranged to meet somewhere nicer for dinner at Christmas & we have arranged to go for dinner next month too. So no cost involved.
We try to do the NSW runs that the club does, usually from Sydney. But on occasion we have done a Saturday or Sunday run from here. Forster or Gloucester through some twisty bits for fish & chips or a pub lunch. That is usually a 4 or 5 hour run by the time we've stopped for lunch, etc.

Only boys??? We have girls that drive 2's here in NSW too. You don't over there??? lol
Good idea tho. We started monthly meets in Newcastle 11 months ago. Still only small, but at least 3 at every meet.

Was Thinking that WA boys/girls/nancies should get together sometime. Would people be willing to come to a movie night at my house with a bbq? It's a small house but enough space to park 12 or so cars. I live in Craigie NOR.
