Looks like a bit of fun for everyone. So many pirouette's!

Just for a understanding of the Excel's performance against our cars based of Wakefield Park.
A Excel will run a 1.17.
A Pulsar cup car runs a 1.14.5-1.16.
A stock SW20 will run a 1.15-1.17.
A tuned SW20 (suspension/semi's/no cage/1200kg/105kw) running a 1.11-1.12 so they are a comparative time to your cars unless you have a V6 or a 3SGTE. Then they have no hope.
Tuned AW11 - 1.07-1.10 with better times expected in 2015
Tuned SW20- 1.08-1.10 with better times expected in 2015
V6 SW20- 3.0ltr- 1.10 street registered with no brakes ( really do not know how he did it..)
So keeping up with the Excel is a good starting point for a MR2. A mild SW20 will keep up or beat a FT86 too. Well documented fact.

People can add there times to the lap time thread if they wish.

Hankooks z221 are the control tyre for the excel cup as far as i know.... those things have so much camber... what a great day out.... i lasted till the afternoon session when a moessler came out... got some footage driving in the drenching rain so gingerly its hard to beliveve i buried it before the main straight in the first session... lol... definately worth it... whens the next session?

Those excells are quick, raced some at lakeside thinking i was going to smash them all.. Doesnt happen!!

What an incredible day! Will definitely do again! Those Excels are quick but we keep up in the straights!

I didn't see what tyres the Excels had (Mark could tell you) but I'm sure they weren't street tyres.

Aaand you didn't have the demon camber they had.

What a fantastic day! I had a blast.

I will admit, going on track with 30+ serious race cars is pretty daunting but I just kept checking my mirrors and let them overtake

I got the hang of it all after a while and managed to give some excel cup cars a run for their money, held it with them for a few corners but it was hard work!. I had a couple of big moments but only 1 off, so that was pretty successful.

Cant wait to do it again!

So we had a total of 5 MR2's on this damp day, not a bad turn out really considering it's a Friday and the weather was meek.

First session out, the SlushDub decided after just half a lap, the intercooler hose should no longer be apart of the intake path. Thanks to BEN77 for the spare hose clamp (PM your bank details, I'll send funds!)

The best place for a P Plater to be getting to know their car and their limits.

Red ones go faster!

Graham also found his way off the track, but didn't bring half the field home...
