Hi, the sill plates came with plastics all as one part I have not seen ones that were separate sorry and I don't think they would attach to the standard plastic sill covers.

Hey I was just wondering how those sill plates were fitted? The ones I have seem to be 3-4mm smaller than my plastic sills in my 90 JDM Turbo, Don't see how I can clip them on with such a size difference. Did you have the same issue?

Thanks Joel, a trip up to Brisbane on the 1st to pick up the next adventure.
I will still be lurking around the forum and hopefully still attend a few club runs here and there as I really appreciate the MR2 community and the great people who make it what it is.
Not sure the new car will end up on here though as it doesn't really have any links to the MR2.

So with a deep sadness today I said goodbye to my MR2, I have so many wonderful memories with this car and have made some great friends through owning it and the great community that comes with owning an MR2.

So as of today I now hand over the guardianship of this wonderful MR2 to its new owner Jayson who I am sure will enjoy the car as much as I have. I have offered to him to take over this build thread if he would like so the story of this MR2 can continue on here so for now this is me signing off.

Thanks to everyone who has helped out with information and advice where needed and for all the good times I have enjoyed with the car.

Thats really good to hear, I'll probably go down a not dissimilar path when I do my brakes. Good to hear feedback on those tyres. I'm probably going to try out a set of the Bridgestone Potenza RE003's next time.

I am running Kumho KU39 all around and have been very happy with them, Rob has just put the same tyres on his as well and he so far also seems impressed by them.

I am really enjoying the brakes so far and am impressed with the pedal feel it has a nice progressive feel and not too bitey straight away so you have good brake modulation.

What tyres are you using up front? I see you have 215-35-18 too. I want to change mine, as my Bridgestone's are old & off. Want maximum grip (semi even), & want to maintain the tyres sizing, which means I can't find any really good options.

Good job on the brakes too. How's the pedal feel? Bitey from the moment you touch the pedal, or is there some initial play?

Yes I could not bring myself to run the calipers on the car with Nissan still embossed on them.. I think they look much better smoothed over.
I had previously ran the T3 rotors and HPX pads on our STi and was very happy with them and never had any brake fade on that the whole time we were running them, the A1RM is the next step up from the HPX but for the driving that I mostly do with the car I didn't see a need to go up to those but the option is always there if I needed to.

I have had some brake fade previously when I was still running the factory setup on the MR2 but that should be a thing of the past now " />

Thats a great upgrade as Dr Ferdinand Porsche said "Something should never go faster than it can stop". Also great that it doesn't say dirty Nissan, I bet it stops heaps faster now? I noticed you went the T3 rotors which are an awesome product, I had them with QFM A1RM on my Celica (A step up from the HPX I believe). I loved the temp sensitive paint they use so you know how hot you get them up to.

Had any issues with fade under very spirited driving? I once had a bit of fade in the Celica but maybe thats just the bias on FWD and going downhill. I find the QFM pads to be amazing for the price.
