What is your opinion of the HID retrofit? Would you consider selling the setup and going back to stock lighting?

They are far better than the 26 year old original headlights. Its a bit of work to do cutting up the old housings but well worth it in the end. I did this instead of buying the ones from the MR2OC forum in the US as they didn't have a proper high beam that moved the cutoff of the projectors, but this kit does. I don't think I would want to sell them sorry, but I'm certainly willing to help with any info if you wish to try it for yourself.

A brilliant and very very clean AW11. All the best with the sale Trav, I can honestly say this is one of the many great AW11's from Melbourne. Sounds and looks the business and with super tasteful handling upgrades. Was great to see an awesome factory white example and have the pleasure of driving alongside it! Clean car good luck mate!

Here is my classic 1987 Toyota MR2 AW11 Hardtop. This car has been my pride and joy for over 3 years, well looked after and always garaged. It has been a fantastic daily driver with Toyota reliability, great looks and drives like nothing else on the road. All the suspension work and other nice touches make this a great weekend project (I always wanted to put a newer 20 valve 4AGE in it) that is perfect for club registration, or even as a great start for a track car or could be kept as is for a daily driver. This car is the current dual Gippsland Car Club Khanacross winner at Haunted Hills.

Respray ~ 6 years ago by previous owner in factory white

Regularly cleaned, polished and waxed with good quality products

Engine:

Stock bulletproof 4AGE except for sports exhaust by previous owner (not sure what brand)

Always used quality fully synthetic Penrite oils and shell v-power premium unleaded (will run on regular 91 octane just fine)

Relatively new distributor cap and rotor and ignition leads ~ 5000k's ago

New Exedy clutch ~20000k's ago

Car comes with some spare parts including another set of wheels with legal tyres (5 spoke 17 inch gold coloured, but a bit scratched up from previous owner), a HVAC centre console control (the current one has a broken knob for the hot/cold changer but I just use a small screwdriver when it needs to be changed) and a haynes repair manual, the original steering rack (only few years old).

Overall this has been a great car, I have received many compliments for it over the years but I have to sell as a new car has come along and unfortunately I don't have the space to keep this one. They are becoming quite rare and hard to find these days, especially in this condition. You will be blown away by the incredible go kart like handling of this fantastic little classic MR2.
