(cogs)

Stock boost on a Gen 2 is 10psi, you'll hardly notice a difference at 11. It's pretty safe to run the CT26 up to around 13psi and you'll notice a decent torque boost up to about 5.5 - 6 k RPM, after which the turbo runs out of puff. Of course you'll also need an FCD so the ECU doesn't stop the fun. The stock intercooler will cope OK under road conditions at 13psi, but on the track under sustained boost it'll heatsoak and become ineffective pretty quickly.
Re: Stock Intercooler Limits? (jlee165)

Hey guys,
So I have managed to score a
turbosmart manual boost controller!
The only problem is that I am still running
the stock intercooler. I don't plan on running anything more
than 11psi. Is this okay with the stock intercooler?
Cheers,
Jamieson
