I will add though that even though the parts are sold, any parts that I won't be holding on to, I will happily pass on to anyone that has a need for them, for the price of postage. This of course doesn't include the transmission or any part off it since I paid for it :P

I already have two shifter mechanisms, this will make it the third for me. I've already promised one to another Auto GZE owner but will have a spare for anyone who wants it.

ahh yes gearbox is sold with dipstick sorry as well as the shifter i still have some auto stuff not quite sure what parts they are but the major ones are gone.

The measurement is 59.5cm from the bottom of the collar to the end of the dipstick (cheers again to Feral for providing this info), though I can't remember the exact placement of the notches; I still had the bottom end of mine wedged in the pan so I was able to just copy them when I used the piece of wire.

I don't think it's a problem hijacking the thread now. If all goes to plan, the transmission will be picked up today to be delivered to me sometime in the next week or two :)

I'll continue the thread jack, I've got an auto with dipstick sitting here, unfortunately I'm hanging onto it for now (whole gearbox) but I'd be happy to get full measurements for you guys if it helps? Probably find an alternative? My pathfinder only has a steel cable with measurement clamped on the end for both the box and the engine... From factory!

Bit of a thread hijack here methinks, but you haven't experienced an order from Amayama where you request a bunch of part numbers and half of them come back as no longer available? Then you aren't trying hard enough :P

I've only ordered from them 3 times but have made plenty of quotes where parts I am after bounce back as no longer available when being converted to orders. I usually have a habit of running part numbers through systems like Lithia's where it can tell me if a newer part number is available etc. But for some JDM only parts (decals etc.) Amayama tells you the new part number when converting to order, but can still pop up as no longer available.

No you can't, it's been discontinued forever. If you manage to find one I'll rage. I've already exhausted all avenues trying to find a replacement. I've been using a piece of balustrade wiring cut to length for mine.

Mine's also broken so the one from SAW4397 won't be a spare sorry!

MMS78 - The dipstick is part# 35103-17020, you can purchase it via Amayama for US$17.72 + shipping.

Feral has completed the C52 conversion on 'lil feral so he doesn't need a box anymore, I actually emailed him personally to ask since he gets first dibs being in WA. Sent you a PM SAW4397 as we were chatting about shipping the transmission before, might have had a misunderstanding since I am still interested in the transmission.

Ohh okay yea sorry thought you weren't. Also sorry Knight but Maj has dibs on it right now so to be fair its going to Maj unless stated other wise. I also don't mind freighting to people who are interested and are quite active on MR2 site that's fine just don't wanna go quote stuff up get it already then be told not interested anymore and such.
