I ordered a new windscreen trim not long ago, and ordered 5 clips, then I found the trim comes with the clips, so I have some spares clips I can send you.

BUT the maybe not so, its all down at my dads place in Vic and he is currently away. I don't know when he is back but I will check with him if he can send the spares up to you.

But don't hang on this I will let reply here tomorrow if he can.
AW11 Windscreen trim clips (dennis the menace)

OK guys, this thread can go in two directions - (mainly cause I hate OneDirection)

Seriously, I've finally got the AW into the workshop for some long overdue TLC. One of the jobs on the list was dealing with the dreaded "windscreen cracking from the rust pressure" syndrome. Removed the top trim and managed to save just 1 clip, then noticed that it to was about to die of old age - after all, we're talking about a 25 year old car, here.

Phone call to my local Toyota dealership, struck it lucky and got the parts guy who doesn't say "What's an MR2" - I kid you not, one of the new parts apprentices had to have a quick lesson in Toyota's. Anyway, the clips are available, but are ex Japan. Here's where we can diverge . . .

Path A - is anybody else about to, or in the middle of, and wants to be prepared for a windscreen replacement and would like me to order extra clips? Currently they are $4.40 +gst each, and you need 5 per windscreen.

OR

Path B - any parts guru's here know of a quicker and/or cheaper alternative for these. The part # is 75546-17010

Given that I'll have rust repair to do before I need to fit a new screen I've got about a week to prevaricate on this order.

Cheers!
