V6 Capri tie rod ends bottom out on thread.

Hi, have just replaced the tie rod ends on my V6 Capri from Yesterford. The prosteer they sent are about 5 mm longer then ones removed and bottom out on the thread and as such I can't wheel align the car because I'm short of thread. Anyone else had this problem. These are the ones they have been selling for years. They suggested just cutting off 5mm from new tie rods. Any feedback appreciated. cheers PSR007

Can't see a problem, just keep a bolt on there to fix the threads when winding it off
