0 227 100 027 is the Bosch p/n stamped on Electronic Ign Module that I seek to but from anyone please

On another matter, my Genuine 1978 Ford Factory W/S Manual makes no mention of a
Insulation Rubber Strip along REAR OF BONNET where it meets the GRILLE/Plenum Chamber Cover to prevent
any engine fumes entering Plenum ?
I've had my XC since Brand New Nov 1978 and I'm wondering if it was forgotten during Assembly Line Build or they ran out and forgot to fit when new stocks arrived ??
    Many thanks

    Hi Bernie,
Peachey80 is doing an XA falcon and Escapfalc has one.  Maybe they can confirm if theirs have a similar rubber strip. My last falcon was an XA, but too long ago to say with any certainty.

Thanks for dropping me in it Len
Mine does not have the strip and did not pre restoration either.
I have looked through my Ford XB workshop manual, but its really a needle in a haystack.
I should direct Bernie to Cameron Manewell (hardtophub@gmail.com) as he is pretty much a guru on all things hardtop. Alternately there are a couple of Facebook groups I frequent where I'm sure the question could be answered.
Also for purchase of distributor etc

    Thanks Len and Mark

the more I look the more I'm thinking they never had it.  Can't ken why so many cars had it and so many didn't !
I've only questioned it after all these years as lately I smell raw fuel coming thru from suspected Thermo-Quad excessive high float levels in the 5.8,  yet entire engine bay is dry as a biscuit.
The investigation goes on.  I'm going to fabricate a fume-excluder for all my cars without them, as it could be a "silent killer" even with all systems perfect and no obvious fumes coming in. I've noticed all my 3 Toyota's have them.
    (2001 V6 EFI Prado, 1988 HJ61 White Lightning Diesel, and 1985 MS123 5MGE DOHC 2.8 Crown)
Just checked my 1971 XY Fairmont 351, and it HAS ONE !
Must check the XC Forums to see what's going on

    Thanks guys
