I got the engine in and running today.
I fitted a new Airtec 70mm intercooler and Airtec 60mm radiator.
So I spent a bit of time sorting that out. Only problem is now there is no room for my Aircon condenser. So i will remove it for now and get something fitted up later.
Also had a oil leak from my oil pressure switch. So I will replace that too.
Should be good to go for a drive tomorrow.
Oil pressure was good and the tappets quiet. So far so good!

Here's a comparison of a std 2wd intercooler and the Airtec unit.

Pic of it running!

Hi Brett, nice work on the engine.  I had intended to rebuild the engine when I had the car but alas never got around to it.  How's it feel on the road?
Regards, Matt.

PS - just a question regarding the forum.  Depending how I access it, google search etc....  I got quite different results.  It's like a parrallel forum is operating where  I can only see half of the content.  Any ideas??

They are nice to drive. They dont attract too much attention either.
Reason I asked about the capri is I have a 71 with a v8 that was a 2000GT XLR V4. I didnt know they were rare when I did the engine conversion on it!

Hi Matt, Cheers, The car feels good, the rear diff mount seemed to tighten up the backend a bit. I havent pushed it yet. Still just cruising around, keeping below 4000rpm at the moment.
The engine is alot quieter now. Its was starting to rattle a bit! But then it had dome 135000mile. Not all easy driving!
Who ever built the engine in the early 90's did a very nice job!

The only thing I can think of on the forum issue is different formats/programs dont work with the forums format?

Cheers

Brett
