It must be a very early shell.

I have a record of a V6 assembled over the December 69/January 70 period with a Chassis number 20 odd numbers before yours. I won't offer the actual number to protect the owner. Funnily enough, it is stamped as CK17JE which is December, 1969 but it has 01/70 on the plate! It is genuine and probably the first V6 assembled. As mentioned by others earlier, there were 40 Capri V6s listed as completed in January, 1970, ALL Manuals, btw.
Re: 1/70 vermillion fire (deano)

Spud would have 40 in his own stock currently!

Nothing wrong with a light blue Capri Drew.

Santa come early Bernie with a new keyboard?
It's missing all the usual hieroglyphics!

Congrats Spud on the new addition.
Re: 1/70 vermillion fire (martymexico)

Only 40!! A bad time as they were competing with gtho, GTS and the good old 6pack Val ...
A mate used to own a late 69 Capri here in Adel, can't recall if a V6 or not. And a customer rolled in with his gold 69 Capri which has the strut tower plates welded on as well as other bkts to strengthen the shell here n there welded on after assembly apparently.
This was back about 30yrs when I gave it a general service.

Re: 1/70 vermillion fire (cosworthfreak)

spud15
Just curious - I wonder if one could determine which might be the earliest v6 delivered?
Attached is the ID rage off this one.
