spluttering

the low down; new plugs, new oil, bit of a tune up (idling a bit low). took dissy apart - to fit ingintion module (ignitor) - wrong one (gotta go back and get a differnt one), so i put the old stuff back in... what happens; starts better at acceleration its better at cruising its spluttering, (..

CNC head machining

Does anybody know of a company in Australia that has completed CNC porting on a crossflow head, or alternatively a company that may be willing to undertake such a job? Thanks Craig..

What Do I need?

Ok... looking for some guidance on what i need to make my 1600 xflow work... Let me tell you what i have, and leave it open for discussion... <u>what i have;</u> - kent 224 cam (bought in 224K kit, so have stems, double springs, retainers, cam followers and lube) - rekitted 45 dellorto on man..

Crossflow competition exhuast design

Hi All, As the topic suggests, I am looking for diamensions and lengths for a competition exhuast manifold for a crossflow kent in a rally car. Engine spec's are: 11.2:1 C/R Steel crank and pulley Steel rods Forged pistons Ported and polished big valve head inlet's 40mm ex 35mm ARP bolts..

Piston Question

these may be simply answered, but i have to ask these... I have heard 1300 pistons are a good way to get higher compression. As i have a standard 1600 (not oversize), what part number / type of 1300 piston should I go for?..

Do any parts fron the KA fit the Kent X-flow?

At the local wreckers I saw a Ford KA. On looking into the engine bay the "Endura" 1.3 motor looks a LOT like a kent X-flow. It has throttle body injection and electronic ignition. Are the parts from these engines interchangable?..

1600 kent x flow 125 hp aim!

ok wanting to no what's involved to get 125 hp out of a 1600 kent crossflow, and dont anyone say put a lead waight pinto in so im thinking single side draught 45 mm weber kent 234 performance kit ported head (how much not sure match porting mybe??) duplex timing chain stock bottom end exhaust..
