Wanted '71 V6 bonnet, swap for Facelift or buy outright, or, WTB set of twin headlights

I have a mate in need of a V6 bonnet to suit 1971 capri. He has bought a Facelift style bonnet and discovered it doesn't fit around the headlights. Noisy V6, any clues?

Took the E out for a run yesterday. After about an hour I heard a squeek like a bearing coming from the engine, after a while it got louder so I pulled overand it seemed to be coming from the distributor area.
